It’s been a rough week for Berkeley basketball. On Tuesday, Feb. 6, the California Bears traveled to Eugene to face off against Oregon. Unfortunately the Bears suffered a 62-73 loss. The Bears were on the road again on Saturday, Feb. 9, when they fell 71-79 to the Oregon State Beavers. Most recently on Wednesday, Feb. 13, the Bears were toppled by the UCLA Bruins at home 67-75.

The men’s team will have a chance to redeem themselves this Saturday, Feb. 16 when they face the University of Southern California Trojans at home.

Shortly after the men’s team traveled to Oregon, the Berkeley women’s team faced the University of Oregon Ducks on Friday, Feb. 8 at home where they fell to the Ducks 82-105. On Monday, Feb. 10, the Bears women’s team lost to the Oregon State Beavers at home 74-82.

The Berkeley women’s team will be on the road this week, facing off against the USC Trojans on Friday, Feb. 15 and the UCLA Bruins on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the University of San Francisco men’s team traveled to Spokane on Thursday, Feb. 7 to face the Gonzaga Bulldogs where they lost 62-92. On Saturday, Feb. 9 however, the San Francisco Dons claimed a win at home, toppling the Santa Clara Broncos 78-72.

The San Francisco Dons will face the Pepperdine University Waves at home tonight and the University of Portland Pilots on Saturday.

San Francisco’s women’s basketball team lost to Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount Universities 66-72 and 66-73 respectively. The Dons women will face off tonight against the University of the Pacific in Stockton, and will meet St. Mary’s College in Moraga this Saturday.
