At 2:41 p.m. on Monday afternoon, a car crashed into the garage of a home on the border of Russian Hill and North Beach.
Hoodline tipster Megan G. said that the vehicle "rolled backwards" before colliding with the house on the 700 block of Green Street (near Powell).
"It broke a gas line, and the gas tank of the car emptied onto the street," she said. "The block is closed off and people are being told to stay inside."
