Scholars Breakfast Kick-Off Reception
Ahead of the Scholars Breakfast, Handy Inc. is holding a "Breakfast for Dinner" on Wednesday at Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina. In addition to food stations, the free event will include live music, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Handy's is a non-profit organization that educates and empowers vulnerable youth to become productive adults.

United Way of Broward County's Women United to Host Read Across South Florida to Celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday

The United Way of Broward County's Women United are seeking female volunteers to read Dr. Seuss's "One Fish, Two Fish, Blue Fish" to students at Sunland Park Academy and Lauderdale Manors Elementary in Fort Lauderdale on Dr. Seuss's birthday on March 1.

Night of Literary Feasts

Finally, the Broward Public Library Foundation is holding Literary Feast 2019 at the Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach Commodore Ballroom. The reception includes an open bar, appetizers, book sales and signings with all 15 authors on site, plus a silent auction. For more information on the Foundation or the event, click here.
