Worthy: The Tracy Piper | Opening Reception
Art Attack SF presents the opening reception for "Worthy," a solo exhibition composed of new work from San Francisco-based artist The Tracy Piper. The event takes place during the Castro Art Walk and will be on view until March 31.
"When the color of your skin is probable cause. When a kiss is an act of courage. When our kids learn to duck and cover for more reasons than an earthquake," writes the artist. "When the media continues to feed us divisive lies, continues to make us feel less than ... then this is America as we know it today. But we are worth of more ... Because I am. You are. We are. Worthy."

Half-Light: An Introspective Study of the San Francisco Bay Trail
Next, the Bay Area Metro Center Community Art Program debuts Half-Light: An Introspective Study of the San Francisco Bay Trail, by Kurt Schwabe in honor of its 30th anniversary.
The event is part of The East Cut Fridays, which "transforms vacant retail space into free community space for district workers, residents and visitors," write the organizers.

"World's on Fire"

"'World's on Fire' explores the cyclical nature of human experience," according to the event organizers, in its world premier dance performance choreographed by Kate Weare and Brenda Way. The show is accompanied by live music from San Francisco-based The Crooked Jades.
The performance aims to portray themes of "kinship, belief, codes of honor, love and the will to endure."

Magician Jay Alexander

Finally, master magician and mentalist Jay Alexander headlines Marrakech Magic Theater with his "Mind Tricks" show composed of comedy, magic and mentalism.
The performance begins in the Oasis Lounge for feats in sleight-of-hand accompanied by an assortment of Moroccan-inspired apps and drinks. Rounding the evening out is an intimate show with Alexander performing magic coupled with psychological and human lie detection illusions.
