The Healing Powers of Food/Vegan Panel

From the event description:

This event features a panel of experts from the medical, psychological and nutritional professions, moderated by Dr. Connie Johnston, about the connection between what we put in our bodies and the health of those bodies. The discussion will also center around how what we hear today about health and nutrition can be confusing and even seem to run counter to long-held conventional ideas. Although “plant-based” seems to be the newest dietary buzzword, there is substantial long-term evidence of the benefits of this type of diet. Panelists will share their perspectives and answer your questions on physical and mental health and nutrition in the early 21st century.

When: Saturday, May 11, 1-3 p.m.
Where: Lincoln Belmont Branch, Chicago Public Library, 1659 W. Melrose St.
Admission: Free -$5
