Bobbie is truly a loving dog who wants to always be next to her people. She isn't a barker or a yapper, just a laid-back girl who would love to occasionally fetch a tennis ball or go for a walk. She uses the doggie door and has never had an accident in our house. She has been around our chickens and our cat, and doesn't seem to care, other than normal curiosity. Her new owner is going to get a wonderful friend and a lifetime companion. Bobbie would do best in a calm and easy-going home where she is not overstimulated or crazy-active, so as to not trigger her seizures, for which she takes daily meds.

Lulubelle is a female Labrador retriever being cared for at Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue.

Lulubelle likes to socialize, and she's happy to keep company with other dogs. She's spayed and vaccinated, and she's mastered her housetraining etiquette.

Lulubelle's current caretakers say:

Lulubelle is a 12-year-old yellow female lab who was found wandering the streets in the Ukiah area. She’s really a sweet dog, perfect for someone who doesn’t want an energetic Lab but loves the affection, obedience and joyful attitude Labs bring! I’ve been walking with her both on and off leash, as she’s not terribly fast, and she’s very good with recall. She is very trusting and willing. Also, she does not bark much — only when someone comes to the door. She has some stiffness, and we have her on NSAIDs.

Cash is an adorable male Labrador retriever mix staying at Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue.

Cash just came back to Lab Rescue, having been adopted out through us two years ago, as his most recent owner was unable to physically handle him. Cash originally joined the Lab Rescue program as a 1-year-old stray from the Martinez shelter. His former owner says Cash is loyal, loving, energetic and protective. Cash’s rescue rep says he will require a strong leader/handler who is able and willing to continue the tough work of rehabilitating Cash’s fear of people and things he is unfamiliar with. This will likely require the involvement of a professional dog trainer. But the rewards will be huge, as he is an awesome dog.

Cami is a female Labrador retriever mix currently housed at Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue.

Cami plays well with others, and she's happy to keep company with other dogs and cats. She's already housetrained, vaccinated and spayed.

Cami is 10 years old. Her owner recently passed away, and the family is unable to keep Cami. She had been used as a service/therapy dog, as her former owner suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, and she provided tremendous calm and comfort to him for many years. Cami has been around children and other dogs, and does fine with all. She is energetic and loves to play, but Cami also can be calm and laid-back. She would be great as a family dog or for an individual who seeks a fabulous companion.

Turtle is a handsome male dachshund and terrier mix being cared for at Grateful Dogs Rescue.

Turtle likes to socialize — he'll get along great with your other dogs. He's already housetrained. His vaccinations are up to date, and he is neutered.

Turtle is super-sweet young adult who weighs about 10 pounds. True to his name, Turtle can be a wee bit shy at first. Once he finds his happy place with you, he is a confident, playful and snuggly pup! He loves being with dogs, and would ideally like a home with another pal. He would also enjoy frequent romps to a dog park or hikes with his people, where he could socialize with other dogs. His foster mom is a dog walker, so he is out with dogs of all shapes and sizes during the day and he is a happy, easy going playmate to all. At home, he is happy to curl up and nap or play with chew toys. Turtle's ideal home would be with one or two adults, as he bonds quickly with one person and will be quite devoted to you.

Tazi is extremely gentle, smart, playful and a total goofball. She loves people and children gets along with other dogs. Tazi is a bit on the clumsy side when playing, and doesn't realize that she's a big dog. She sits on command and will also shake. She walks well on a leash, but also gets excited when she meets another dog while walking. She is nice and calm inside the home. 

Otis is a darling male Jack Russell terrier and chihuahua mix being kept at Beyond Rescue.

Otis likes to socialize, and he's happy to keep company with other dogs. Otis is neutered and he has all his shots. He's already housetrained.

Otis is a lover. If he’s isn’t running around with his doggie friends, you’ll find him sitting on a lap. Otis is Mr. Popular. He’s the guy you want around and at every party.
