Shoe sale ends in robbery

A robbery occurred on June 23 around 5:30 p.m. at Geary and Laguna streets. A 14-year-old boy arranged to meet a girl to sell her shoes. When he arrived, the girl and two other boys threatened him and stole his phone and shoes. No arrest was made.

Robbery victim fears suspect has a gun

On June 17, a 20-year-old man approached a 34-year-old man at Ivy and Gough streets, just a few minutes after 5 a.m. The younger man demanded the victim's property.

The victim believed the suspect had a gun, even though it was not visible, so he handed over his wallet with credit cards and an ID inside. The suspect was able to flee the scene. No arrest has been made.

Two teenagers take bag from bicycle basket

Another robbery took place on June 6 at Page and Webster streets. At 8:05 p.m., a 23-year-old woman was riding her bicycle when a male teenager aged between 16 and 18 years stole the woman's handbag out of her bicycle basket.

The victim chased after the thief, but another teenager of the same age tripped her. No arrest has been made.

Phone snatched out of hand

Two days earlier, on June 4 around 4:30 p.m., a 20-year-old woman was walking at Geary and Buchanan streets when a 20-year-old man snatched her phone out of her hand.

Another man, whose age remains unknown, also pushed the woman. Police did not make an arrest.

Robbery victim gets cut with knife

In another incident, which happened on June 3 at 10 p.m., a 23-year-old man approached a 34-year-old man, began arguing with him, then took out a knife and cut him.

Before the suspect fled, he demanded the victim's wallet, passport and some money. The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No arrest was made, police said.
