With the unusually hot weather gone, it's safe to venture back outside and, from block parties to music festivals to dog races on the beach, there's a lot of entertainment variety for your weekend.

Here are our top picks for getting out and about over the next few days in San Francisco.

Juneteenth Parade & Festival

Honoring the abolition of slavery in San Francisco, the 69th Annual San Francisco Juneteenth Festival is billed as the "largest gathering of African-Americans in Northern California." The event features a fashion show, a classic car show, live performances and music - with headliners Eric Bellinger, Goapele and Los Rakas - and plenty to eat and drink. This year’s signature parade has been renamed in dedication to Rachel Townsend, the leader of San Francisco’s Juneteenth who passed away earlier this year.

The event is free and open to dog and non-dog owners alike.

Also new this year is the Maker Block on Grant Avenue with booths dedicated to making various items, from cannolis to Emperor Norton coins.

One under-the-radar music festival is coming back to the city this weekend. On top of artisanal drinks and food trucks, the festival has ten main performances on tap, including Oakland hip-hop collective SOLDevelopment and East Bay experimental artist SPELLLING. The festival proceeds will go towards supporting The Bay Bridged, a local arts nonprofit. If you're ready to go all in, there are tickets available for a pre-festival brunch and after party as well.

When: Saturday, June 15, 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
