Maya is a Formosan Mountain Dog mix. She is nearing three years old and weighs 60 lbs. She is good with big and small dogs, cats and children.

Happy is a three-year-old mix who has called the shelter home ever since he was a mere pup. He spent day after day in a teeny tiny cage with one companion after another. After what seems like an eternity, a kind lady brought him out and told him to call her Mom. After many encounters, he began to fear his beloved owner's family. In an attempt to grant him a reprieve, his owner gave him to a foster family with lots and lots of doggies. Every day they would chase each other around, tails high up in the air. On the weekends, his foster daddy enrolled him in training classes to help curb his fearful nature. He has done well in the classes and is ready to be adopted into his forever home.

Tasha was rescued from Orange Cove. She was found after apparently being hit by car and endured some scrapes and bruises. She has healed and is ready for rescue.

Rufus was rescued from Orange Cove. His family had to move and was unable to keep him. ​He bonds quickly with one person. He is working on house training and will do best in a home with no small children. He would also prefer a home with a yard.

Shirley is two to three years old and came to the rescue with her sister Laverne from Oakland when both were pregnant. Shirley has done an amazing job raising her five puppies, and it's now her time to find a forever home for her. ​She is a petite lady, about eight pounds, and is friendly. She can be barky but is working on it. She loves to go for walks and appears house-trained but will need some reinforcement. She did well meeting cats in her temporary foster home.

Mozart was originally adopted last year as one of India's pups. He just turned a year old in early February and is once again looking for a home. He has that sensitive border collie personality so confident dog experience is required. He is crate-trained and house-trained. He loves playing with other dogs and has an ample amount of energy, so regular exercise is a must.
