Castro Crime: Three-person assault; argument ends in stabbing; more  Photo: Evan Blaser/Flickr

It's time for another look at notable crimes reported in the Castro since our last roundup. All details are from official SFPD reports, unless otherwise noted.

Dolores assault, robbery

At midnight on September 9, a 37-year-old woman was at Dolores and 15th when a man, 20-25, threw her to the ground before stealing her purse, ID, and cards before fleeing. The victim received injuries to her elbow and hip but refused medical assistance. 

18th Street fire-starter arrested

On September 8 at 9:26 p.m., a 56-year-old man set some items on fire near a building on 18th near Collingwood. Units arrived and arrested the suspect. No damage was reported. 

Dolores robbery

On September 7 at 10:00 a.m., a 50-year-old woman was on Dolores near 15th when an unknown suspect approached her, hit her in the head, and grabbed her property before fleeing on foot. The victim lost a phone, ear buds, a purse, ID, and cards. 

Assault with bottle

On September 6 at 8:44 p.m., a 39-year-old man was near Castro and Market when another man, 40-50, threw a bottle at his head. The victim received injuries to his forehead but refused medical assistance. 

Duboce gun robbery

On August 26 at 4:20 a.m., a 61-year-old man was at Duboce and Scott when a younger man, 25-30, brandished a handgun and demanded the older man's property. The suspect stole the victim's wallet and phone before fleeing. 

Noe gun robbery

On August 18 at 6:00 a.m., a 24-year-old man was on Noe near 18th when another man, 20, approached him from behind with a gun and demanded his property. The victim complied and the suspect stole his bag, wallet, license, and cards before fleeing on foot. 

Diamond home intruder

On August 14 at 7:00 a.m., a 30-year-old woman walked into the home of a 55-year-old man on Diamond near 21st. The intruder stole the man's wallet and currency before leaving. No arrest was made. 

Seward hot prowl

On August 13 at 8:15 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a garage on Seward near Douglass. The suspect stole a bicycle belonging to one of the residents, a 58-year-old man, before fleeing. No arrest was made.

Morning argument ends in stabbing

On August 12 at 4:00 a.m., a 39-year-old man was near 18th and Noe when a younger man, 20-30, started a fight with him. The younger man then stabbed the older man twice with a knife before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Three-person assault, robbery

On August 8 at midnight, a 24-year-old man was on Castro near 16th when three unknown suspects assaulted him and stole his bag and money. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. No arrest was made.
