DBC Restaurant brings Nepalese and Indian fare to the FillmorePhoto: DBC Restaurant/Yelp

A new Nepalese and Indian restaurant has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called DBC Restaurant, the newcomer is located at 1109 Fillmore St. (at Golden Gate Avenue) in the Fillmore District.

DBC Restaurant serves up a full menu of Nepalese and Indian dishes. To start things off, check out the chicken or vegetable momos — traditional Nepalese dumplings served with special sauce — as well as other appetizers such as samosas. When it comes to entrees, look for dishes like chicken tikka, lamb kebabs, butter chicken, goat curry and a selection of biryanis. Among the veggie-friendly offerings are vegetable kebabs, paneer tikka and vegetable korma. (Check out the full menu here.)

It's still early days for the restaurant, which has one five-star Yelp review.

Ryan J., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Aug. 27, wrote, "The flavors were amazing. This Nepalese family truly cooks their food with love and care."

And Yelper Ye W. added, “The food is delicious, and the staff is incredibly nice. The spiciness and the flavor are on point."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. DBC Restaurant is open from noon–11 p.m. on Sunday-Thursday and noon–midnight on Friday and Saturday.
