It's time for another look at notable crimes reported in the Castro since our last roundup. All details are from official SFPD reports, unless otherwise noted.

Dolores and Market assault and chase

On October 21 at 1:35 a.m., two people, 47 and 36, were at Dolores and Market streets when a male suspect, 20-30, slapped one of them, then chased both of them down the street. One of the victims tripped, and the suspect then kicked them and fled. One of the victims was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Verbal argument ends in assault, robbery

On October 20 at 12:07 a.m., two men of undisclosed age got into a verbal argument with four other men on Divisadero Street, near 14th Street. The group of four followed the two, then got into a physical fight before stealing a phone belonging to one of the two victims. The victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the incident. 

Car fire investigations

On October 6, a series of early-morning car fires occurred in the Castro and Excelsior neighborhoods. The SFPD is currently investigating the incidents; there were no reported injuries or damage, outside of the three vehicles that were burned.

Man stabbed, robbed over phone at Church & Market

On September 20 at 2 a.m., a 25-year-old man was robbed at Church and Market streets by two male suspects, 30-40. The suspects were armed with a gun and knife, and one of them stabbed the victim before stealing his phone. The suspect was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

19th Street hot prowl

On September 17th at 3:46 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a garage on 19th Street, near Noe Street. The suspect stole a bicycle, belonging to a 54-year-old male resident, before fleeing. 

Collingwood hot prowl

On September 15 between midnight and 3 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a residence on Collingwood Street, near 20th Street, as a 30-year-old resident was sleeping there. The suspect stole the victim's backpack and gaming consoles before fleeing. 

Dorland shots fired

On September 13 at 4:29 p.m., officers responded to Church and Dorland streets, where witnesses told officers that they had seen two groups of men, totaling four people, shoot at one another before fleeing the area. Police recovered shell casings from the scene, but no arrests or injuries were reported. 

Cyclist hits vehicle, sustains life-threatening injuries

On September 12th at 12:03 p.m., a 73-year-old man was on a bicycle at 18th and Hattie streets when he collided into a vehicle. The cyclist was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
