Starting from Del Monte Park in San Jose, volunteers walk south along Los Gatos Creek looking for Salmon migrating upstream to spawn, building or spawning Redds and carcasses of salmon. Volunteers document what they find using an online tool, accessible from the browser on their phones, which we provide access to. Volunteers recover carcasses of fish that have already completed spawning and died, if they spot any, and recovery can be done safely and without entering the water.
