Oi Asian Fusion debuts in Carmel MountainPhoto: Roz E./Yelp

A new Asian fusion and Filipino spot has opened in the neighborhood. Called Oi Asian Fusion, it's at 11835 Carmel Mountain Road, Suite 1307.

A member of a small fast-casual chain, the lastest Oi Asian Fusion focuses on bowls and buns. When it comes to bowls, look for options like the Loco Burger bowl with Angus beef burger, umami gravy, fried egg, seaweed and scallions. Or, opt for a karaage fried chicken bun with Japanese fried chicken, lemon mayo, cucumber, green leafy lettuce and scallions.

The eatery's latest creation is the bistek bowl, a medley of tenderized beef, slow-cooked onions and a runny fried egg.

Oi Asian Fusion has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of 14 reviews on Yelp.

Audrey P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 12, wrote, "They are spot on with everything. Customer service was great as they helped me decide what I should order. I chose the pork bun, jicama tacos and an ube cheesecake. Everything was delicious."

Yelper L P. added, "Absolutely superb. I had the Tapsilong bowl and the mango dessert. The quantity, quality and taste were just perfect. It exceeded all my expectations."

Head on over to check it out: Oi Asian Fusion is open from 10 a.m.–9 p.m. daily.
