A new cookie bakery has made its debut in town. Located at 362 Kearny St. in the Financial District, the fresh addition is called Insomnia Cookies.

This is the first San Francisco location of Insomnia Cookies, the late-night cookie bakery that got its start on a college campus in Pennsylvania in 2003. Insomnia Cookies has since expanded to more than 100 shops around the country, offering up warm, fresh-baked cookies until the wee hours of the morning.

Check out one of Insomnia's traditional cookies, like the chocolate chunk or the snickerdoodle, or try one of the deluxe cookies, such as the triple chocolate. Cookies are available individually or in combo packs of six, a dozen and even a hundred (boxes of up to 300 cookies are available for catering). The new spot also offers cookie cakes, brownies, ice cream and ice cream sandwiches — all of which are available for delivery.

Insomnia Cookies has garnered good reviews thus far, with a four-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp.

Haasith S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Feb. 5, wrote, "It's not too soft or too hard, it's perfectly crunchy outside and chewy on the inside."

And Yelper Lopa R. noted, “The cookie was perfectly warm and soft, and the ice cream was delicious. Definitely a welcome addition to the Financial District."

Intrigued? Check it out for yourself. Insomnia Cookies is open from 9 a.m.–3 a.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m.–3 a.m. on weekends.
