Noro Slouchy Hat KAL (knit-along)

Right after lunch, Castro yarn and knitting supplies store ImagiKnit is hosting a knit-along via Zoom. The pattern for the Slouchy Hat by Noro can be downloaded online, and includes two different sizes.

Neighborhood Organizer Workshop

Want more trees in your neighborhood? An online workshop hosted by Friends of the Urban Forest is your opportunity to learn what you do about it.
The workshop will explain what it takes to be a neighborhood organizer from home, from networking with community groups to creating effective social media campaigns.
Come brainstorm and prepare to help lead your neighborhood in planting between 50 and 100 trees.

Makeup Moments with Cassidy LeBlanc

Join SF Oasis for a short tutorial on makeup and drag with Cassidy LeBlanc. Thursday's tutorial will cover the foundational skills involved in brow blocking, "a fundamental base for establishing the perfect blank canvas for your next great drag masterpiece."

Contagious Compassion Zoom Meditation

Organized by the Asian Art Museum, this Zoom session with Dr. Ravi Chandra will introduce some specific mindfulness and compassion skills for this time of crisis. Participants will break out into pairs to connect through discussion. There will also be a larger group discussion and a Q&A.

NightLife & Friends: A Virtual Event

NightLife is back with another experimental online event, bringing science, art, and music to you in a virtual happy hour. Expect to hear from poet and activist Tongo Eisen-Martin while he performs a short set of his work. Later, Steinhart Aquarium curator Vikki McCloskey will provide an update on everybody's favorite alligator Claude. There will also be a chance to practice some basic salsa moves in your living room or watch a meditative flower workshop.
