Man fatally shot in Berkeley

A 19-year-old man was found shot to death late Monday night in the southwest area of the city, authorities said. The man was found at about 11:34 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Dwight Way and Valley Street after someone called police to report a person was lying on the ground bleeding. Paramedics determined he had been shot and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
