Jefferson Airplane: A Deep Dive

In 1967, the year of the Summer of Love, Jefferson Airplane was one of the San Francisco hippie community’s best-known bands.

In the same year, the release of “Surrealistic Pillow” brought them to international fame, and the band would go on to play all the 1960s rock festivals including Monterey Pop and Woodstock, and release five albums in five years.

During this Zoom presentation, watch videos from those events, as well as a performance at The Fillmore and on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. Hear about the band's roots in folk music, and how a key personnel change led the band to success.
