After story upon story of bad news about the so-called "Retail Apocalypse" in Downtown San Francisco, one company has an idea to bring people back to the area.
As a result, San Francisco's music scene might be in for a treat, as Berkeley-based concert promoter Another Planet Entertainment (APE) eyes the possibility of hosting free concerts in the city's downtown area. With proposed events at Civic Center Plaza, Embarcadero Plaza, and Union Square, San Francisco could soon be enjoying vibrant public spaces with exceptional live music experiences. While there are no confirmed acts or dates, APE plans to inaugurate this series of outdoor concerts in 2024, aiming to continue it for three years.
