Driver Suspected of Intoxication in Fatal Accident That Killed Champion Cyclist Ethan Boyes in Presidio

It has been two months since the tragic death of two-time USA Cycling Masters Track National Champion Ethan Boyes in a collision with a car in San Francisco’s Presidio. A recently obtained U.S. Park Police report suggests that the driver involved in the incident may have been intoxicated at the time. While official information on the driver and any charges remains scarce, Boyes's tragic case has led to some changes in Presidio’s infrastructure, with plans for protected bike lanes being installed where Boyes was struck.
