A 17-year-old man was arrested for allegedly robbing the same 7-Eleven store twice in Santa Rosa, drawing attention to the vulnerabilities of convenience stores and the daring nature of some criminals' actions, according to KRON4.

The juvenile, whose identity has not been revealed due to their minor status, targeted the Santa Rosa 7-Eleven store on Mission Boulevard, robbing it on June 30 and again on July 5, as The Press Democrat reported. This marks the store's third total robbery in three weeks, raising concerns for staff and customers alike.

Police were notified of the most recent robbery on Wednesday around 11:51 p.m., a robbery during which the suspect allegedly pointed a handgun at the store clerk and demanded money; he also reportedly pointed the gun at a citizen who interrupted the robbery in progress which shows a level of brazenness and a disregard for both the law and the safety of others.

Fortunately, an officer was in the vicinity of the store and arrived within one minute after the call was received, per SFGate. The officer was informed that the suspect had fled the scene towards Mission Boulevard and a nearby creek; two officers attempted to contact a person that matched the suspect description but the person fled on foot, subsequently leading to a brief struggle before capture and the recovery of what later turned out to be a replica handgun found under the suspect.

The young suspect has now been booked into the Los Guilicos Detention Facility on several charges relating to robbery and displaying a replica firearm.
