On Friday, a 14-year-old in Hyde Park was arrested with a firearm in his possession.
According to the report on the Boston Police Department, the Youth Violence Strike Force members apprehended the teenager during a missing person investigation in the area of 6 Alwin Street.
The boy, whose identity remains undisclosed as a minor, also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The officers found a Kel-Tec Sub-2000 Rifle with 15 round magazine in the vehicle, and the teenager now faces various charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm, ammunition, and a large capacity feeding device.
