Todd Baldwin, a facilities department staff member at Valley Christian Schools in San Jose, was arrested on August 17th, 2023, for possession and distribution of explicit digital media involving juveniles, according to the San Jose Police Department.

The 43-year-old suspect allegedly paid students for the explicit images and videos. The Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force/Child Exploitation Detail, which conducted the arrest, also served a search warrant at Baldwin's office and his residence in Morgan Hill. He was later booked at the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
While the Valley Christian Schools have assured their cooperation with the investigation, this incident raises concerns about the safety of students in schools and how protective measures can be improved to ensure such incidents are identified and prevented. Below is the schools statement:
