In a matter of 24-hours, two Boston neighborhoods experienced a similar report of violence. Each began as simple argument, but the incidents in Dorchester and Roxbury each quickly progressing into a stabbing case.

Friday, August 25 saw the first of these two incidents in Dorchester, as an altercation escaladed into violence when Roy Taylor, a 66-year-old Cambridge resident, turned an argument into a life-altering moment. Taylor is alleged to have stabbed a victim with a knife before fleeing the scene of the crime. An investigation and collaboration between the Boston Police Department and Cambridge Police Department successfully lead to Taylor's arrest. The victim, fortunately, remains alive, enduring non-life-threatening injuries forged by Taylor's violent actions.

Just one day later, Roxbury encounters a story all too similar, as 62-year-old Michael Josey is accused to have stabbed a person using a screwdriver after a dispute. Recognized by officers while he was fleeing, Josey was placed under arrest. This victim also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Each was sent to a respective nearby hospital.

The suspects, Taylor and Josey, now face charges of assault and battery, as well as various other charges tied to their individual circumstances. They are expected to be arraigned in their respective district courts, Dorchester and Roxbury.
