Hayward's Chabot College Performing Arts Complex is set to become the new home for the Bay Philharmonic, opening its 2023-24 season with an unforgettable showcase, Bay Phil Presents Broadway's Best, on Sunday, October 1. The exciting announcement was made by the Philharmonic on Saturday.

The star-studded lineup will feature a 50-piece philharmonic orchestra sharing the stage with renowned Broadway performers such as Lissa deGuzman (King Kong, Aladdin, Wicked), Jason Gotay (Evita, Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark), and Julius Thomas III (Hamilton's leading star). The evening will be brimming with show-stopping hits from the artists' celebrated Broadway shows, alongside timeless classics from West Side Story, My Fair Lady, and more, ensuring a delightful musical journey for attendees.

Previously known as Fremont Symphony, the Bay Philharmonic has a rich history spanning more than five decades, and under the baton of Artistic Director and Conductor Jung-Ho Park, the orchestra's new partnership with Chabot College is poised for success. Park brings with him over 35 years of international experience, having conducted acclaimed professional and conservatory orchestras from around the world.

In a show of gratitude and commitment to the college, the Bay Philharmonic is offering every Chabot student two free tickets to every program it performs at the college during the 2023-24 season, fostering a special relationship between academia and the arts.
