Oakland PD Locates Missing Elderly Man with Dementia

Kehchung Tou, a 76-year-old Chinese man went missing on August 26, 2023. Reported as a missing person, Kehchung was considered at risk due to his early diagnosis of dementia and age, sparking a sense of urgency to find him before the situation worsened. According to a Facebook update posted on today, Kehchung is no longer missing.

Following his disappearance, the Oakland Police Department promptly reached out to the community and media partners for help in locating Mr. Tou. Last seen around 10:30 am on the day of his disappearance, he was driving a black 2022 Toyota Highlander in the 4000 block of Midvale Avenue in Oakland. A man in good physical condition, Kehchung is known to frequent both San Francisco and Alameda, in addition to Oakland.
