
Last night, passengers aboard Delta Airlines flight 2346 had their nerves tested as their journey from Chicago to Boston was quite literally electrified.
The plane may have been struck by lightning during its descent, leading to a tense atmosphere on board. Nonetheless, the aircraft touched down safely at Logan Airport before midnight, allowing its 85 passengers and crew members to disembark unharmed as reported by Boston 25 News,
Frightening as it may have been, this unexpected encounter with the elements in any injuries. CBS News Boston reported that the Airbus A220 aircraft "landed safely without incident following a potential lightning strike."

Given the serious implications of a lightning strike for any aircraft, Delta Airlines has chosen to temporarily ground the plane, taking it out of service for evaluation as reported by WCVB.
