A 17-year-old student was arrested yesterday, at the Worcester Alternative School, after administrators discovered a loaded handgun, and bags containing what appeared to be heroin, crack cocaine, and powder cocaine in his possession according to Worcester Police Department.
Worcester Police were dispatched to the premises of the school on McKeon Rd when administrators called for assistance upon discovering what appeared to be illegal drugs in the student's bag.
Upon the police's arrival, a loaded gun was also found amidst the variety of drugs, exacerbating an already alarming situation. The teenager now faces firearms and drug charges according to Worcester Police Department.
School families were informed of the incident by the school's administration, ensuring transparency and communication.
