The recent incidents of gun violence have left Crestwood and Riverdale in mourning. In Crestwood, the passing of 28-year-old Oak Forest man, Jermayne Watkins, was due to multiple gunshot wounds he suffered outside a Speedway gas station, 14002 S. Cicero Ave. per a Patch report.
Concurrently in Riverdale, a pair were shot to death, with family notifications pending, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Regarding the Crestwood incident, plentiful shell casings were discovered, and security footage along with witnesses to oddly place, spotted a silver SUV fleeing the scene eastbound on Midlothian Turnpike, reported by Patch.
Both the Crestwood Police Department and the Southwest Major Crimes Task Force are spearheading the investigation.
