Today, a woman fatally shot a man who threatened her with a knife in Chicago's Morgan Park neighborhood. The incident took place in a residence on the 11500 block of South Vincennes Avenue, as reported by Chicago Sun-Times.

The man, 41, well-known to the woman, allegedly approached her with a knife, provoking her to fire four shots from her handgun into his torso, as noted by Fox 32 Chicago.

He was immediately transported to Oak Lawn's Christ Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. The woman, however, didn't suffer any injuries in the altercation. The handgun she used was found at the scene by authorities, and the case is under investigation by local detectives.
