
Between September 25 and October 1, the Daly City Police Department reported a series of criminal incidents, including two robberies. One robbery involved the theft of over a thousand dollars' worth of fragrance items from Macy's and a significant amount of merchandise from Victoria's Secret. Another incident, an armed theft at the Dollar Tree on Mission Street, had the suspect leaving with a $500 VISA gift card, by means of a firearm, according to the Daly City Police Department.
Additionally, four commercial burglaries were reported during the same week, beginning September 25. One of the burglaries happened at 24 Hour Fitness on Gellert Boulevard, where the thief took several items from a locker, the suspect being a heavyset black female in casual attire. The police are currently still investigating these incidents.
Other commercial burglaries at places like Wendy's and Starbucks on Mission Street led to the arrest and imprisonment of a 31-year-old Hayward resident, who was involved in each case. Meanwhile, a separate incident at 24 Hour Fitness on Gellert Boulevard resulted in the theft of a victim's jacket, car keys, house keys, and their 2002 Lexus ES300.
Auto burglaries also occurred in Daly City, with a 2010 Toyota Corolla and a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado being targeted. The Corolla had its front passenger window smashed and $20 worth of coins stolen. The Silverado incident resulted, in the theft of a black leather bag along with an Apple MacBook Pro, after the rear passenger window was smashed.
Over the course of the week, eight car thefts were reported, with three vehicles having been recovered so far. The thefts were across the city, at the 24 Hour Fitness parking lot on Gellert Boulevard, Skyline Drive, the unit block of Morton Drive, and at North Mayfair Avenue and Eastmoor Drive intersection. The latter incident involved a stolen 2017 Chevrolet SS, thought to have been taken by Hispanic males wearing black ski masks, black hoodies, and blue jeans, one of whom may have been armed.
The bulletin also detailed various other incidents during the week, including 10 domestic disturbance incidents, four involuntary psychiatric holds, seven acts of vandalism, four public intoxication instances, four hit-and-run collisions, and 12 narcotics-related incidents.
