Bankruptcy protection proceedings have been initiated by DirectBuy Home Improvement, Inc., the parent company of Z Gallerie. As a result, closing sales are now underway at all of Z Gallerie's retail locations nationwide, including the store located in San Diego County, as reported by Patch San Diego. DirectBuy's filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy is the catalyst for these recent developments, according to B. Riley Financial, Inc.

Purveyor of affordable home furnishings and décor, Z Gallerie, operates 21 stores in nine states. The San Diego location can be found in Encinitas Ranch Town Center at 1006-E El Camino Real, Encinitas. These stores are set to offer a range of discounted merchandise during the closing sales, presenting customers with the opportunity to purchase home décor items at significantly slashed prices.

As outlined by B. Riley Retail Solutions, DirectBuy’s retail consultant, store inventory reductions will start at up to 40% discount. This vast array of discounted items spans from furniture and lighting fixtures to bedding and home décor. These cuts aim to prompt shoppers to quickly visit their nearest Z Gallerie outlet, as the discounted merchandise, available for a limited period, could run out.

Purchases made during these sales will be final. Those who purchased on or after Tuesday, October 24, will not be able to return their items. Conversely, purchases made before this date can still be returned in accordance with the company's stated return policy, provided a receipt is given. Z Gallerie gift cards are permitted usage during the sales event, but only until November 15, as Patch San Diego has reported.
