Community staple Gregory's Restaurant & Pizza Pub in Wilbraham, Massachusetts, will officially shut its doors on October 21 after 50 fruitful years of service. The family-run business, occupying a 4,000 square-foot space, recently announced its sale alongside the retirement of the owners. Overcome with nostalgia and gratitude, the family extend their thanks to all steadfast patrons.
Gregory's carved a niche for itself by serving Italian cuisine in a warm atmosphere, quickly becoming a nostalgic touchstone. The restaurant's varied menu—peppered with options from pizzas to pasta, and steak to grinders—was tailored to satisfy a gamut of tastes. A WWLP report stated that Gregory's operated from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday to Sunday, offering both dine-in and takeout services.
While representing a hub for Italian cuisine, Gregory's Restaurant & Pizza Pub distinguished itself by contributing to local causes. As the WWLP recounts, the venue held philanthropic events such as November 2022's celebrity bartenders event, benefitting the Dakin Humane Society. Notables from Springfield's public service voluntarily served patrons during this event, signifying the eatery's deep-rooted connection with the community.
Encouraged to bid farewell, customers old and new can partake in their last meal at Gregory's before October 21.
