Residents are benefitting from continued sunshine, according to WGN-TV, including areas adjacent to the lake, where temperatures are expected to reach 77 degrees on Monday, and 80 degrees on Tuesday.
While Wednesday is expected to be again unseasonably warm with temperatures forecasted in mid-80s, cooling trends are anticipated thereafter, with a cold front likely bringing showers come evening, and a significant temperature drop into the mid-50s to lower 60s into the weekend.
Given the pending cold front, Chicago residents are advised to closely monitor weather updates, as conditions are expected to quickly change. WGN-TV reports a 70% chance of showers, potentially even thunderstorms, by Wednesday night, and a 50% chance of continuing showers come Thursday morning.
