
Yesterday, October 12, an Illinois State Police (ISP) car was hit by a motorist on Interstate 290 in DuPage County, the driver having failed to obey the Move Over Law, also known as Scott's Law. Official details from the Illinois State Police state the officer was attending to a crash in the westbound lane with their emergency lights on when a Nissan Rogue collided with the rear driver side of the patrol car.
While the troopers and the Nissan Rogue's driver, 23-year-old Isaac L. Blount of Bellwood, IL, were unharmed, Blount was cited with Scott's Law violations and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
