San Francisco's culinary world eagerly awaits the opening of 7 Adams, speculated to make its debut in Japantown next week. Spearheaded by Chefs David Fisher and Serena Chow Fisher, the project has sparked interest following their abrupt exit from the defunct Marlena in Bernal Heights earlier this year, Eater SF reports.
The restaurant situated on 1963 Sutter Street, 7 Adams, is an ode to Fisher's childhood residence blending his personal experiences into the dining establishment. To actualize their dream, they paired with rapidly-growing hospitality company, the Hi Neighbor Hospitality group, involved in several prominent Bay Area eateries and bars. Besides helping shape 7 Adams, they are currently renovating the historic Cliff House restaurant space in collaboration with Sutro Lands End Partners as confirmed by Eater SF.
Though the specific items on the menu is kept under wraps, patrons can look forward to dining reminiscent of the Fisher duo's stint at Marlena. Unlike Marlena, 7 Adams will feature a variety of fixed dishes and meals with patrons allowed to make choices. Diners can enjoy their meal at an approximated cost of $87 per diner, with options available for additional courses and beverages as stated in Eater SF.
Standing amidst a minor storm post their departure from Marlena, the Fisher couple attributed their leave to a souring professional relationship with Marlena's owner Stephan Roulland. Following Marlena's shutdown, Roulland and his partner Julia Indovina introduced a new establishment named Foliage at the identical 300 Precita Avenue address in October, according to Eater SF.
