Lyon & Swan, the underground supper club in San Francisco's Jackson Square neighborhood, ceased operations after a short 11-month run. According to SF Eater, the distinctive experience offered at the club included curated cuisine, exquisite wines, and immersive entertainment.
Pioneered by the Sonoma Country winery Eco Terreno, Lyon & Swan had occupied the basement of a Columbus Avenue building. Its complementary entities were a ground-floor wine tasting room, offering biodynamic wines, and a private tasting area on the upper level, specifically for Eco Terreno wine club members.
The reasons for its abrupt closure were not detailed by the business' Instagram account. However, the Eco Terreno's San Francisco tasting room located above Lyon & Swan is temporarily shuttered from October 1. It was scheduled to reopen on October 12, as the winery promises minor alterations in services and forthcoming information regarding its business hours, mentioned on the Eco Terreno website.
Despite the brief tenure, Lyon & Swan had carved its niche in San Francisco's dining and entertainment scene. Live performances featuring swing bands, solo artists, to drag acts regularly graced the club. The menu boasted dishes like heirloom tomato and cucumber salad, lamb osso bucco, and baked Alaska, complemented by enticing libations from bar selections to Eco Terreno's wines.
During its operational stint, the club brought together dining and live performances, creating an engaging experience for patrons.
