
The San Francisco community reels in shock after a tragic incident on October 7 when a woman fell to her death during Fleet Week's annual Blue Angels show. The deceased has been identified as Patricia Hamon, formally known as Tricia O'Connor among friends and family, reports The San Francisco Standard. The incident occurred during a Blue Angels viewing party that Hamon was attending. The 51-year-old is believed, to have accidentally tripped, resulting in her fatal fall. The news of her death was relayed to The San Francisco Standard by her ex-husband, Clark Hamon.
Owing to the tragic event, Hamon's loved ones have gathered, remembering her through fond memories shared and tributes paid. "Trishie was a bright light in our community, her passing is an unspeakable loss for all of us," acknowledged Alix Rosenthal, a friend, in a Facebook post. Over 100 tributes have since streamed in from the community, sharing moments of laughter and tears as they celebrate a life that left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Officers responding to the report found O'Connor injured from her fall off a building on Van Ness Avenue, between Chestnut and Francisco streets in Russian Hill. Despite rigorous efforts, O'Connor was pronounced dead at the scene, as per The San Francisco Standard.
The events leading up to O'Connor's fall are still under review. However, SFist reports that foul play is not suspected and there's no clarity yet on whether O'Connor was watching the performance when she fell. The Blue Angels had their grand air show, featuring impressive aerial acrobats, in progress at the time.
