Maintaining its current name, Town Hall, at 342 Howard Street, will persist in delighting patrons with signature dishes such as Hemingway Daiquiris and fried chicken until October 31. Thereafter, under the stewardship of Florence, planned changes to the menu and extended operational hours will be instituted at the commencement of next year, per the SF Chronicle.
Having established a concrete presence in the San Francisco food and drink scene, Florence additionally owns ventures like Wayfare Tavern in the city's downtown and the Miller & Lux steakhouse. The respected chef is charting plans to inaugurate two new cafes situated in Union Square, according to Eater SF. Since its inception in 2004 by chef Mitchell Rosenthal and partners Steven Rosenthal and Bjorn Kock, Town Hall has emerged as a sought-after spot in the burgeoning SoMa district. To keep afloat amid the pandemic's repercussions, with many Bay Area eateries experiencing similar struggles, they reoriented themselves to pay homage to the iconic New Orleans restaurant, K-Paul's in 2020.
In advancing this latest endeavor, Florence's partnership has been struck with DivcoWest, a real estate investment firm, that owns both the building that houses Town Hall and the neighboring office complex located at 199 Fremont. Through an official press release, DivcoWest attested the news, announcing Florence's intention to pay homage to the adored culinary traditions of this San Francisco institution, while concurrently presenting a unique concept under the enduring Town Hall brand.
