
The 12th annual SF Turkey Drive presents San Francisco's residents with an opportunity to make an impact on their neighborhood this holiday season. Scheduled on the 20th and partnering with the San Francisco Zoo, the ambitious project aims to gather frozen turkeys and fresh vegetables for donation to the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank to alleviate hunger within the city.
Since its inception in 2012 in the Ingleside District, the SF Turkey Drive has progressively grown. Having established a profound impact on battling hunger in the city. The new partner, the San Francisco Zoo, provides a significant platform, which is advantageous for both donation collection and attracting new participants.
For those interested in donning the SF Turkey Drive, the drop-off point for frozen turkeys and fresh vegetables is at the main guest parking lot of the SF Zoo. The hours of operation for this are between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on the 20th. To give thanks, zoo donors will receive two complimentary carousel tickets. The SF Turkey Drive website also accepts donations via checks payable to SFM Food Bank, which can be mailed to their address or contributed online through their website.
