The alarm sounded around 1 p.m. Thursday and officers hastened to the local business, ready to confront a thief. They preemptively locked down the scene, securing the points of ingress and egress, according to police.
As the Rockland Police Department closed in, armed with protocol and caution, body camera footage elucidated the truth—in the remains of retail space, there was an ungulate culprit, not a human one. WABI reports that the suspected burglar is a white-tailed deer.
