In the early hours of last Sunday, an altercation turned violent in Colma, leaving one man with head injuries after being assaulted. The Colma Police Department responded to what was initially reported as a medical call at a local business situated on the 1600 block of Mission Road according to a statement released by the department.
Officers arrived at the scene at around 12:39 a.m. and quickly ascertained that the incident was the result of a heated verbal clash between two men. In a shocking turn of events, what had started as words exchanged soon violently escalated, leading to one man brutally assaulting the other. The assailant, described only as a Hispanic male adorned in dark clothing, managed to quickly slip away into the night, eluding police capture before they could even arrive. This nefarious suspect remains at large.
The victim, who sustained a nasty blow to the head, was promptly whisked away to a local hospital. His injuries, while severe enough to necessitate medical attention, were not life-threatening, and he was later released after being treated, the police clarified.
