Last Sunday, Colma officers discovered a severely damaged vehicle in C Street's 400 block. According to the Colma Police Department Facebook post, the driver, who smelled of alcohol, is suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run two blocks away from the arrest location. The 24-year-old was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and committing a hit-and-run.
It was known that the owner of the other vehicle involved had been contacted and expressed the desire for prosecution against the accused driver.
The Colma resident was booked into San Mateo County Jail and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and a hit-and-run offense. The report doesn’t provide information about any potential injuries that occurred or the accident's severity.
