The Englewood area of 007th District has experienced a spree of robberies throughout October, garnering significant attention and concern due to their occurrence on CTA platforms. The incidents reportedly occurred at different times throughout the month, harnessing increased fear within the community.
The Chicago Police Department reports that the suspects, two African American males, aged 16-27 and clad in black clothing and tan puffy jackets, confronted and robbed unsuspecting victims on the CTA platforms. The culprits fled on foot following the robberies. The crimes spanned the 200 Block of West 63rd Street and the 15 Block of West 69th Street.
