The Oakland Police Department (OPD) announced the arrests of Tramonn Gray of Oakley and Alonzo Dyer of Oakland who are suspects in Wing Yin Wong's murder case. The shooting took place on September 15, 2023, on 38th Avenue with Gray and Dyer apprehended on November 16, 2023.
The culmination of this investigation is the result of cooperative efforts of OPD, Violent Crime Operations Center (VCOC), Ceasefire, and the US Marshals. Charges have been filed against Gray and Dyer by the Alameda County District Attorney's Office, the case's progression will be watched closely in days to come, hopefully offering some closure for the victim's family.
