Yesterday, an evening shooting near the Dan Ryan Expressway in the Grand Crossing neighborhood resulted in injuries for three men. The victims, aged 36 to 66, were wounded when perpetrators approached and opened fire at around 5:37 p.m. on the 7100 block of South State Street as reported by CBS News.
Chicago police confirmed that the victims received treatment at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Law enforcement temporarily closed a section of State Street south of 71st Street, overlooking the expressway, for the investigation. The motive for this shooting remains unknown, and no arrests have been made at this time.
