Chicagoans are feeling the heat at what should be the start of winter, with temperatures climbing unseasonably high. According to FOX 32 Chicago, today's highs could hit the upper 50s, and some areas might see the mercury rise to a balmy 60 degrees with sufficient sunshine.
The sky's mood will shift from sunny this morning to mostly cloudy as the day wears on. Later tonight, The Windy City should brace for "a few hours of occasional rain" that's expected to clear up around daybreak on Saturday. Despite the onset of rain, temperatures will hover in the low 50s early tomorrow before taking a downward turn into the upper 30s by evening.
Looking ahead to Sunday, temperatures are predicted to drop closer to what's typical for December, with highs near the normal mark of 38 degrees under partly to mostly cloudy skies, as reported by CBS Chicago.
And next week doesn't show signs of a chill setting in either. Forecasts suggest a quiet spell with a warming pattern likely to bring highs close to 50 degrees on Thursday and Friday. There's no hint of arctic air on the horizon, promising an extension of the current heat spell.
