A man was fatally shot inside an apartment in Southeast Atlanta, with police discovering his body late Thursday afternoon. The shooting occurred at the Constitution Hill Apartments located on the 1100 block of Constitution Road SE, FOX 5 Atlanta reported. Officers who responded to the scene just before 4:50 p.m, discovered the victim with at least one gunshot wound.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced the man dead on site, and as of now, his identity remains unreleased. The Atlanta Police Department has not yet provided details concerning the possible motive or suspects involved in the case. According to authorities, the area is near Moreland Avenue in the Leila Valley neighborhood, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution noted. The Atlanta Police Department urges anyone with information to come forward, and they have initiated a homicide investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
