Get ready to jingle all the way in Pompano Beach; the city's Great Lawn is set to host a festive combo of melodic charm and holiday highlights this Friday, December 8. The Special Music Under the Stars and Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration is the place to be for families looking for a jolt of seasonal cheer, complete with a visit from the main man of December, Santa Claus himself.
According to a press release from the City of Pompano Beach, revelers can kick off their holiday merriment at 6:00 pm, where they can take holiday snaps with Santa and sway to the sounds of carolers filling the evening air with classic holiday tunes until 7:00 p.m. The musical lineup will keep the festive spirits high as Retro Radio Band takes over the stage at 7:00 p.m.
But the main event, the star atop the holiday festivities, will shine bright at 8:00 p.m. when Mayor Rex Hardin and the city's commissioners illuminate a beautiful tree, symbolizing the city’s collective holiday spirit. Attendees are invited to gaze upon the twinkling lights and linger for the grand finale—a dazzling fireworks display destined to light up the Pompano Beach skies.
For additional details about this can't-miss free event on the Great Lawn, located at the intersection of Atlantic and Pompano Beach Boulevards, beach bums and festive folks can head to the city’s website at www.pompanobeachfl.gov or dial up 954-786-4111.
