San Antonio is gearing up to bid farewell to 2023 and usher in the new year with a plethora of high-end festivities and grand fireworks displays. From lavish dinners to radiant parties, venues across the city are preparing to host a wide array of events on New Year's Eve, December 31, which falls on a Sunday this year, as reported by KSAT.
Amidst these celebrations, the San Antonio Parks Foundation's official New Year's Eve party, Celebrate SA, promises to be one of the city's highlights and is free to the public. According to KSAT, the foundation has stated that the celebration will commence at 6 p.m. at Hemisfair, the River Walk, and downtown streets. The fireworks, also part of the festivities, will light up the night sky as the clock strikes midnight.
The city has planned some exclusive events with the theme of "Dancing In The Streets." As reported by KSAT, the celebration will include live music, food vendors, and performances by local artists like Jefferson Clay, Pop Pistol, and Shannon Sionna at the Michelob Ultra Main Stage. DISCO PICNIC will also contribute to the evening's entertainment with DJ Flacucho and Príncipe Q spinning tracks at Civic Park. All these locations, reinvented into vibrant hubs of celebration, are set to carry the thrum and excitement throughout the night.
For those seeking a more luxurious experience, numerous establishments have lined up exclusive events. SeaWorld San Antonio and Six Flags Fiesta Texas, for example, will start their fireworks displays at 9 p.m. For a more intimate affair, restaurants such as Ambler Texas Kitchen + Cocktails and Bar Rojo offer dinners and themed parties, with reservations already open for those looking to secure their spots.
For a more high-end celebration, the Hyatt Regency and Moon's Daughters at Thompson San Antonio are hosting rooftop parties, with admission tickets reaching up to $285 and $2,000, respectively. At the Hyatt Regency, guests will enjoy an "extravagant" night in the ballroom before moving to the rooftop pool to witness the downtown fireworks. Meanwhile, Moon's Daughter's patrons can indulge in luxurious perks like a tarot card reading and a live tattoo artist.
As the city prepares for a grand goodbye to 2023, these events demonstrate San Antonio's commitment to providing a variety of festive options, from complimentary community affairs to exclusive gatherings, all designed to ensure that residents and visitors alike can find a fitting and memorable way to ring in the New Year.
